Portico’s Simon Harrison states “When we saw Valerie’s work we just fell in love with it. We work closely with her as she generates new artwork for Portico Designs, and have become increasingly impressed with her skills. “Chalk Board” art is very on-trend at the moment, and the brand’s unique selling point is that Valerie creates all of her work on a chalk board, rather than manipulating fonts on a computer screen. We are so excited to be able to bring this talent to the British market.

“There is a growing need for quality hand crafted art which is trend lead, and with Portico’s strong positioning in the market this is a great partnership to start the Lily & Val licensing programme in the UK, on the back of the brand’s success in the United States” says MGL Licensing executive Katie Sharp.
